Thank You Bro ... After I get everything welded up and all the welds smoothed out I will add the cross braces with seat tabs to hold the new solo seat in place... I just got home after another night of working on it but no pics ...

I still need to do the shock mount tabs,,, seat rail end cap slugs and the seat tabs but that's for another evening...

WK, that looks like it's gonna be an awesome ride.

Few updates to my KZ:

I relocated the rear signals to the taillight housing so I could move the bags back. Got a replacement 'cafe' seat cover and foam from ebay and fit it onto the stock seat pan. Got a little silly with the reflective red tape just so I can be a little more visible at night on my black bike.



What's that thingy behind the forks? Funny you should ask.



It's a 139db air horn. My neighbors will attest to how friggin loud it is. I feel somewhat more potentially conspicuous in traffic now, as opposed to with the wimpy stock 'meep meep' horn.

Also got a carb jet kit from 6 Sigma. You give them the specs of your bike; year, model, and any modifications plus what altitude you ride at, and they'll send a jet kit optimised for your specific bike along with detailed directions and stuff.

That'll go in after replacing the clutch, which slips at high speeds when I open the throttle. Not good.

A bike is going to be one of my first big purchases coming out of school. I'm liking the Buell S1 but anything with that look is sparking my interest. AKA fairly upright riding position, 1 big round headlight, minimal fairings. Though The XB9SX is also something I could get behind.

WK, that looks awesome.

leafy, take a look at what are called "naked" bikes, they are that minimal fairing style, as far as riding position goes that can be changed with different handlebars most of the time.

I just got my motorcycle license (well the learner's one anyway) today.

Now I'm sitting here at work looking out the window and watching the rain and snow come down wondering where all the nice warm weather went.

Congrats! This month is actually my one year anniversary of having my motorcycle endorsement on my license. Still no bike though...
