Yeah, that's what I've always wondering... why do all Harleys leak oil? I mean, it doesn't really affect how they run, because I've seen Harley go up to 100,000 miles, but why? I don't think I've heard of any other brand of motorcycles leak oil like Harleys do.

Harleys are almost direct comparisons to Autocockers. They are flashy. They are desirable. They leak oil. It's what they do.

They also take some fiddling around to make them work too.

The chain driven models have an oiler that works off the crank case oil.

People laugh, but the comparison between WGP and H-D is shockingly more accurate than most want to think. Willie G's release of the Sturgis is very comparable to the 2k 'cockers. Subsequent popular 'cockers (Outkast, Nightkast, Orracle, Karnivorr) are comparable to Harley's line over time. They are interesting to people, but ultimately are inferior to other bikes/guns on the market.

Not only do I ride a non-H-D, but proudly shop at K-Mart.

After mods had started; I changed all fairings to Carbon fiber they are a little less than half the weight of the factory plastics. I still need to take care of the tank but I have just added New driven bars, JPracing levers, Protek rearsets and '06 busa Gold forks worked over by Traxxion Dynamics...

Sadly, this is a year I actually cannot go, and that really bums me out. Anyway, if you're in or around Ohio and love classic bikes, I highly recommend checking it out.
I've been trying to get down to this for years and just never seem to have time. Someday I'm gonna get there with a pickup truck and leave with something in the back, just for the sake of doing it.
