Dye stuff can be nice, but it's so damn pricey. I don't have that kind of dough to blow on pants and a shirt, and frankly probably couldn't justify it even if I had the dough.

What about really GREEN areas? What patterns work well there?

I also think the Dye Cam is too expensive for 100% cotton that will fade badly on wear areas (Knees, Elbows, Belly), and is less tear resistant than jersey material.

I've seen CADPAT on the field, and I'd say it's my pick for best camo during the greener months. However, I get by just fine with Specops PB Woodland Digi.

One thing about all of these patterns is that materials really make a difference when it comes to the longevity of the camo. Cottons fade a lot. Synthetics hold their color better but, they aren't as flexible or breathable until you start to pay more for them (i.e. higher quality materials).

Yea id like to see how the dyecam stuff actually performs.

Oh and as for thew NWU's, its a working uniform its not intended to be camo at all. they went with that pattern because on a ship those are all the colors you will encounter so if you get a lil bit of paint or a little bit oil on you it's not as noticeable. The navy is comming out with a camo uniform similar to the marines style with just a little bit bigger digital print (at lease thats what it looked like last time i saw it) and straight pockets not slanted pockets (big mistake IMO). That will be issued to tropps that deploy on the the ground Master at arms, SeaBees, Non 8404 corpsman. Us real corpsman (8404's) will still wear the marine uniform.

Regrettably I had to sell the frame, despite doing an outstanding job for pain and storage. It will be missed.
