Like Lis said, there is nothing wrong with stitching. I actually cross stitch in my spare time. I tend to do it more in the winter, but it is really enjoyable. Funny thing is I'm pretty damn good at it too.

Everything above is stuff you can do on a pretty low budget. It all depends on your skill level. Come fall, I'll be building some lugged frame bikes for the velodrome. And winter, I'll be building a couple dust bin motorcycles... Maybe titanium framed!


R/C hobbies seem to have a high initial entry cost, and then are very cheap to maintain... Not dissimilar to paintball at all. I was thinking about getting into RC heli's recently, and stopped by a specialty shop... About 160 to get into it with a 3d capable indoor roflcopter. The guy warned me against getting a 3d one because I would break a lot of parts crashing... Then a guy came in while I was taking notes and bought a whole new tailsection for an expensive flier for.... 12 dollars.
