Here is a short video. I haven't learned to use the video editor yet so you just hear the wind. I love that treetop flying. here is the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULBrYYAh_W4 |

| MCB Member | That was my first time. I flew it at about 600' and the pilot did the low (20') flying. Take off and landing is pretty much the learning curve. Of course there is weather conditions you should learn about and the rules of the FAA. But there are no requirements for the Part 103 ultralights. These are the rules here. There is not even a license requirement. Buy or build and fly at your own peril. It's pretty crazy. I'm getting profesional training for my own benefit and safety. Electronic Code of Federal Regulations: He said the learning curve is up to the individual. Some people have soloed in 4 hours and others 40hrs. |

I was an ultralight instructor for a few years. It was some of the most fun I've ever had flying - wheels and skis. If you're at EMR next weekend, let's shoot the breeze about it. Here's a couple of in-flight photos from Sun'n'Fun, Lakeland Florida. I was in a "Chinook Plus 2" ultralight, in formation with a Trike. ![]() |
