Ok, I'll play bad guy. Didn't we just do this? I was in high school when Toby Maguire's first one came out and I haven't been back for my 10 year reunion yet.

Looks pretty damn slick but is it just or does the web/spidey cam almost look too fake? Those scenes are bound to turn a few stomachs, asides from that, what is the backstory on Peter Parker's parents?

After what happened with Raimi's Spiderman it couldn't be anything but a reboot. They ruined all the villains, they ruined Peter Parker, Kirstin Dunst is a ****, just all around after SM3 you knew that series was over.

This however is ripping off Nolan's Batman, even in that very first scene. "Make it darker" darker =/= better. Only when it fits the character, or the series. Look what happened to Star Wars III, Return of the Something whatever the hell it was called it sucked. They made it "darker" for the sake of being darker. And it was crap, forced crap, the worst kind of crap is the forced kind. Because it stems from a total lack of imagination and instead riding the wave of what is currently "In."

You can't make Superman "darker" because it wont' fit his character, some people or settings it's just not the right setup. Batman is a cynical and gritty guy, for him it can work. Parker is an optimist that always keeps his chin up and look for the silver lining. He is always making wise-cracks at his enemies. He's a likable guy and does stuff to BE liked. Raimi was a little too perky in the step but it was at least in the proper ballpark.

1st Person Spidey looks promising. Hope they utilize it well in the movie and not just like 1 scene gimmick. If they can capture the intensity and joy of webslinging then this movie stands a chance of Winning.

It looks real fin fake, like matrix 2-3 fake. All cgi/videogamey

Ep 3 was bad because it was the third of a litter of inbred runts, not because it was supposed to be darker. It didn't have a chance to be good.

yeah your right, but they're rebooting alot of movies in the next few years so we better be ready.

it also looks like he uses the web shooter from the cartoon
