Oh like you want to hold one of those beasts in your hand and pull the trigger.... not for me bud! I'll shoot my 3" barreled .45lc.. and I'm looking forward to doing that for the first time...but these suckers are nuts.

And yes I knew what a ransom rest was/is. Great tools!!!!! They are just a lot nicer now than they used to be.... heck they used to just be a formed block that you put in a vise mounted to a work bench..you pulled the trigger with a string like thing...very sophisticated!

I have had a few of his "hand canons" and they are a blast!!

A .411 JDJ (444 Marlin necked down .41), 210gr. bullet at 2350fps from a 14 in barrel.
45/70 in a 12in barrel.

Just hang on!

You ever see the vid of the guy with teh 600 Nitro Express pistol? Thats nuts.

Me? I'd fire anything I knew was safe, at least once.

bah I know I can get a lever action in just about any cowboy caliber....

But I would like a semi auto rifle in something other than 9mm... and not as big as the 458 Socom or Alexander Beowulf. And I'd rather it not be a blowback.. something with enough guts that it's got reasonable power down range but not enough that it's going through too many things it shouldn't and have enough oomf that it can cycle a AR gas system... and not the blow back pistol cartridge system (blah).

If I could find a box mag fed 44 Mag rifle (other than the rotary Ruger thingy) that would be it.... but I figure the .357 is still a very competent round.

Anyways.. that's just wish list/mad-gunsmith type thinking..... now I wonder if a M-1 carbine could cycle .357..hmmmmmmmm

Heh...I was just talking about these with the guys at my local gun store yesterday. I just like my good ol' Colt Army chambered in 44-40 with a 4 inch barrel. (used to be six inch barrelled rusty beater, got cut down to 4 during the restoration/rehab process.) Tends to turn heads at the local range too. I think I can put all those survival products in my own little case for pretty cheap too.

As for the yellow or red hogue grips...err,

I'm surprised they didn't include with it a handy bright book on how to pop a shoulder joint back into place.
