Searched for a listing of airsoft forums on here, couldnt find anything. So is there an airsoft counterpart to MCB, PbN, SpecOpsForum, or TechPB out there? Me and my brother will be, expanding our horizons in the future, and im looking for a free forum with a large membership, a respectable BST, and a wealth of information. Help.

There are plenty out there like Techpb and PBN, and SPecops. They will all say you're stupid for playing paintball. Im not sure an airsoft sight like MCB exists. I gave up looking for any haven in Airsoft some years back when I saw the 'evolution' poster of airsoft, seen below, and when I said that was a little childish they (30-40 year old guys) Laughed at me(barely 16.) for playing 'puffball' and said theres no room for me there. The only good thing was I proceeded to pull out 500 in cash and told them I was looking to spend it on airsoft, but didn't feel like it at that point. ![]()

Airsoftpost forums are full of great information but it's the airsoft counterpart to PBN. Arnies Airsoft is sort of lie MCB. And before you spend money on an AEG I would suggest you look up "classic style" airsoft guns. They are powered by air tanks just like paintball and are generally more realistic than an AEG (besides the tank) Not to mention they are also more durable, better built, and less prone to failure as they are mechanically simpler. I started paintballing when I was twelve but had visions of large milsim games. I dreamed of owning an A5 that looked like an AK but the problem was always the hopper. I'm still a hopper hater but after 4 years of working on AEG's I have grown tired of the problems and am willing to strap on a 20oz in exchange for 20 years of reliable service.

I came in here to recommend Arnie's as well. Arnie's is based in the UK and I'm pretty sure paintball isn't very popular there at all due to restrictions on markers, but I could be wrong. But for whatever reason, airsoft is bigger there. I think a lot of the online hate comes from people who don't live in an area with a paintball community or if they previously had poor exposure to it. Obviously airsoft draws the milsim and woodsball/scenario crowd so if a person is into that and only has prior exposure to speedball, then they may generate some harsh feelings towards the game. Anyways, Arnie's is the best (in my opinion) airsoft site, although it isn't the fastest moving board around. A lot of the US members there do have some experience with paintball markers. I second the classic gun, when I played I used an AEG M4 replica with a split gearbox design which made maintenance 100 times easier. If you go for an AEG, make sure the gearbox is a split design... several manufactures use that style now and it seriously makes work on the replica a lot easier. Otherwise go gas... o-rings and gas are much simpler than gears, batteries and wires in my opinion. |

I probably will go gas, if there is a machine pistol that runs on it i can find as long as i have the attention of you airsoft folk, i was looking at this a few days ago ![]() comparatively cheap, and with a couple cans of krylon it would look great. but i want to know if anyone has exspereance on how it performs, if its prone to mechanical failure, what can i upgrade it with, etc. This gun it build around JG's Stubby M4 AEG, so many characteristics should be similar
