| Canuck MCB Member | One Reason Why MCB Is The Best Online Paintball Community
So there are many options for paintball forums online and here is a bit of a story as to why I think MCB is one of the best places on the internet. One week ago I was extensively injured due to being assaulted, my left eye was damaged, my eye socket crushed, my cheek bone & nose broken and my jaw fractured. My face was so damaged that my eye was swollen over for roughly 5 days, after spending 36+ hours in the hospital I was released to go home to rest and to recover for a one week before I have to do a week (this upcoming week) of follow up appointments with doctors before having major surgery to hopefully repair the damage done to my face on the 30th of January. While being in the hospital and having limited things to do and very limited vision I spent a few hours here and there online via my iPod with free wifi on the MCB website. This kept myself occupied and also positive because paintball is a huge part of who I am. In November I had been asked to play with a team in the upcoming NPPL season and was very excited about the first training session (which was just yesterday) but due to my injury i was unable to attend and yet again MCB kept me busy enough and preoccupied while not being able to go to the paintball field even to watch. While it does not replace actually being on a field or event watching it was something that allowed me to feel like I was still apart of the sport even in my current condition. While in the past I have had health related issues prevent myself from being able to play the sport that I enjoy I had used playing paintball as a way to show that I have made progress and that I could overcome issues related to my health (also have a pacemaker). Even though I have had this condition for the bulk of my paintball career I have still been able to play in the CXBL, AXBL, PSP, Millennium Series and was going to check off the final league the NPPL this season. The biggest part of paintball is the sense of community that happens at the field and on teams but I have found that MCB is one of places that has like minded players who are not in it for show or the glitz and fame but for people who truly enjoy the sport for what it is. Unlike any other online location even if you are not in contact face to face MCB makes you feel like your a part of something greater. So I write this still not really being able to see properly so if there is spelling errors I am sorry but hopefully this can be useful for someone who is going through something similar or a challenge that is limiting them from being able to enjoy the sport fully be is health, finance or anything really. While I am still unsure of the results of the upcoming surgery I do have to say thanks for unknowingly helping myself through this rather difficult period. Cheers, Adam @ ThisIsPaintball.ca

I hope you get better quick. I can't stand it when I miss a weekend of paintball, it makes me feel like I'm missing something. I can't imagine what it's like for you to not be able to go play because some a$$hat assaulted you. Hope you can get back on the field soon. -Kynan

Get better soon! In the meantime, at least you can have fun around here until it's time to play again. ![]() Relax as best you can, kick back, and let the amusement begin! You aren't the only paintballer where batteries are included around here either. Have you found that Energizer Bunny tattoo yet?

Wow, assaulted in T-dot. You need to either: Move away from the Jane and Finch area Or get another wife Glad to hear the community has the power to heal and that we could help. Thanks for sharing. May I ask what happened? |
