Pretty cool, but can I just say that I hate it when people apply the "nano" prefix to something visible.... Nano means one-billionth.... Seeing as no quadrotor has been built yet that's one billion times as large as one of those, it is therefore, not a "nanorotor".

I know it's a technicality but it still drives me nuts.

Overlords? Not likely. They're actually solving fairly basic problems as far as the math goes, and the only really interesting thing is the situational awareness/sensors they're using to feed the system. But I think they're using external cameras to detect and plot positions to feed into the system.

They're solving fairly basic tasks as far as the problems go. (They're not simple for humans to quickly do in their heads,... but humans suck as basic math anyway.)

Not to the point of forming plans to wipe out the human race, or design monuments for human slaves to toil in the sun until death building.

We're safe for another few years.

The prefix notation is also being shoehorned into place for general 'size' indication, making use of the more common parts of the scale. Rather than large, medium, small, you can find normal, milli, micro, and nano, or mega, killo, giga for going larger. (Centi and Deci are often skipped, even milli at times. Weird really, but who actually uses Decimetres anyway?) Which honestly is a far nicer system than trying to order a cup of coffee at a starbucks.
