There's no comparison between the V8 supercars and Nascar. The Aussie league uses street cars highly modded, where Nascar vehicles are built from the ground up.

Supercars are more comparable to the German style touring cars just not in Europe.

And, there's probably a talent gap there, too. Ambrose is probably about the best the Aussies have right now, and he's only really found real success on road courses, and he's not always the front runner there, either.

Just sayin'... been a motorhead all my life, I've watched many many races out of my "target US audience" of all types. Nascar has some of the best of the best of the best. Guarantee it, if Gordon, Johnson, Stewart or even Edwards wanted to run F-1, they'd win the title given a decent car.

To answer the original question, i don't really know of any other countries that play football on the same level as America (i think i've heard europe has some leagues?) so i guess by virtue of no other countries participating they can say they're the best in the world.....

At least the MLB has a lot more diversity in it.
Team scouts are big on talent from South America and Asia.

Baseball is played practically everywhere now, haha.

I don't think the Giants really get referred to as World Champions. You're probably looking for the IFAF World Cup, in which the US are World Champions, most recently.

Honestly, who cares whether someone calls themselves World Champions, NFL Champions, etc... Do you think a football team from Canada, Zimbabwe, or any other country can beat the NY Giants using NFL rules?
