The problem is, the camera didn't come with any software. It's a Olympus Stylus Tough.

i'm wondering if there's a way you can upload the file someplace and let me try opening it with my old xp laptop's movie maker. do you happen to have dropbox or another way to upload a file onto the internet?

A what now? Would E-mail work?

In any case, I'm going on a search for a free editing program that works with the MPEG-4 file type, as suggested.

I may be back shortly.

sadly i don't think emails can handle such large files.

dropbox is this site that lets you upload your stuff for others to download. a few of our paintball meetups have had people take pictures and then share through it. http://www.dropbox.com/

Well, I want to thank Heinous and everyone else very much for all the help. I was able to get everything set up and I finnished the video on WMM. Not too bad of a job ether for a first time deal.

I'm working out loading it onto the internet now, that should only take two days.

Thanks all.

Ti

I found a program called Format Factory, it converts any file type to ones like WMV, MP3, GIF, AVI, ect. After fiddeling with that for a day, I was able to get my videos to work with WMM! Simple really.
