...and just got to the airplane crash scene.

Because 737's traveling at less 120 MPH totally explode into fireballs hundreds of feet in diameter when they lightly crash-land on a snow and ice covered runway... Yup. Every time.

But Die-Hard 2 is good because it doesnt take itself too seriously.
It revived the entire action genre, minus the gratuitous nudity you usually got in the 80s.

I legitimately face-palmed.

What made it even more facepalm-worthy is that for most of the duration of the explosion, from the first flash of light to when it was totally engulfed in the explosion, you could hear the pilots screaming over the radio. The reason that's so odd is because the explosion started at the front of the plane...

Wow, looks like 9mm's can cut through industrial-strength padlocks in a single shot! That's handy to know!

2 is actually my least favorite of the 4. Not sure why, but it just didn't do as much for me as the rest.

It does have the second best line in the whole series though:

Al Powell: What's this about?
John McClane: Oh, just a feeling I have.
Al Powell: Ouch. When you get those feelings, insurance companies start to go bankrupt.

The first, of course, is:

I need to get all of them though, since they are better than most everything out today.

If you take all movies at face value and expect them to be realistic you are setting yourself up for disappointment.

One other criticism/observation.

What's up with Die Hard movies and their lack of weapon diversity? Seems like you either have an MP5, a Beretta 9mm, or you're not armed.
