So, does this mean I can start fashioning mini ninja stars out of them?

If the former, they cost more to produce than they're worth. If the latter - I have no idea.

It won't stop $0.99 pricing - people will still pay with debit or credit cards.
Exactly. We recently had this debate in my office. You can price to the nearest penny still, but you will either have to pay with a card or round down/up with cash. If you round down the company takes a penny or two loss and I think they should just add it to a deduction form for tax time somehow. That's easier IMO than rounding up and trying to make it 'fair' to the consumer in another way.

That is exactly the problem, most pennies are not in circulation. Since they are all but worthless they just sit in drawers, mugs, pods, bottoms of cars...ect They don't circulate so the mint just keeps making more.

Actually, now that I think about it, get rid of the nickle while you are at it. What can you buy for a nickle??? Ever try and buy something from a vending machine with just nickles??? It takes about a week and a half..

ah, but with many vending machines you can put your nickles in and then hit change return and get quarters back. Do this in your spare time so that when you need to get something from the vending machine in a hurry your quarters will be good to go.

Finally, no more picking those gorram maple leafs out of my penny pile!

I never understood how you canuckistanis manage to keep a steady supply of strippers going when you make it rain with loony's and toony's. I guess it does give new meaning to coin slot though...

If you listen closely after the strippers leave the stage, you can hear a noise that sounds like a mix between a queef and a slot machine dispensing a jackpot.

That explains why I get a hard-on everytime I see a granny with a big plastic cup.
