Random gripe about Glee.

Ok, bring on the crap about me watching Glee, I dont really hang on every word but its in the families weekly lineup so it gets watched.

On to the gripe; How many commercials in it and all of the episodes depict some teen getting killed because he/she was texting while driving? And that one blonde chick gets tboned doing like freaking 80 because she was texting and she not only lives, but is only in a wheelchair while her spine decompresses?

It seems like, if they really wanted to ram the point home, they should have simply killed her, or at the very least made her a life time cripple.

a friend of mine died as passenger while her driver lived. i'm sure onlookers all want the opposite, but i don't think the driver felt very good about herself either.

in any case it's more realistic. car safety mainly has the driver in mind.

I would think the character dieing would make the episode shorter.

I understand your point though.

I understand the need to make people aware of this problem, but as a show that pretty much constantly has ads about 'real life' stories about kids getting killed while texting, youd think they might make the jump to try and hammer the point home.

Maybe because it seems worse to some super active teens/young adults (ie the target audience) to be trapped within their body and severely limited than to just die.
Plus many people look at death with more of a brush off as, "Oh! That will never happen to me!" but seem to think more about serious injury.

My guess about the irritating part of Glee was going to be those stupid kids singing at me... Ah well, I was wrong!

I like how they made it the same girl they had pregnant.

I am guessing your GF told you about this and you are posting on her behalf?

I don't like Quinn. I believe they should have killed her off. And what happened to the Asian chick? She hasn't been the focus in a season or two.

I mean my wife doesn't like her...
