I don't have enough good words about AoT.

Seriously stop what you're doing and catch up.

Thank you so much, though.

Things like that gnaw at me even years after I see them.

Literally popped into my mind at least a few times a week and all I could think afterwards until I got distracted was "Holy crap, all I ever needed was a NAME."

Now to re-appropriate my to watch list:

Strike Witches, Cyborg 009, and the rest of FLCL and Desert Punk.

That should keep my brain distracted from relationships for a few months while I hammer out more school work.
I will admit that I've watched Strike Witches more than once.

On a different note, I'll probably be watching Spice and Wolf again soon.

If anyone is interested in Gatchaman (G-Force, Science Ninja Team, etc). They are doing a pre-order through Crunchyroll for the entire series + OVA's. I use crunchyroll to watch series but I've never bought through them so buy at your own risk.

Crunchyroll - Deal - Gatchaman TV+ OVA Complete Collection (Pre-Order)

Needs to be in the next Pacific Rim..

Wasn't that the first (And maybe only?) anime made for US market? I could still totally see that as the next Pacific Rim (But let's stick to calling it Big O).

Yeah, kinda.. From what I read, it didn't do very well in Japan so production stopped after the first season. It wasn't until it aired in the US that it became popular and a second season was made.

I am rather... FRUSTRATED... with Attack on Titan at the moment.

I was promised wire-fu giant killing.

I'm 5 episodes in. Not one dead giant. I am disappointed.

I have simple tastes when it comes to anime. Hero "A" does skill "B" and defeats enemy "C". Repeat as necessary. Don't promise me "Young adult male hero does wire-fu and defeats giants" and give me "main characters keep failing in more and more hideous ways".

I'll give it a few more episodes. I'll interspace it with a Fullmetal Alchemist rewatch so I know I'll get my formula. Edward Elric does Alchemy and defeats Bad Guys.

^The titan killing starts the next episode or two. I am on episode 8 right now and there has been a bit of killing the past few episodes. Not sure how much I like it at the moment as I think my tastes run similar to yours.

I was in a somewhat similar position to you guys when I started watching AoT, I was ready to drop it by the 4th episode. It does get better. It might not be everyone's "cup of tea"... but they at least managed to keep me as a viewer all the way till now.

Give it a chance you might come to love it, or hate it and say it's over-hyped.
