rofl - Megazone 23 was actually a really popular anime back in the day - and to be honest I personally love the final battle theme from Part II (Himitsu Kudasai) and listen to it fairly frequently.

The socio-political themes in it strike a chord with some folks too rofl.

going to add pandora hearts to my list of favorites, and also my list of most insanely frustrating endings. 25 episodes, in depth plotline and world, great mystery, loved the music (same as maybe hack//sign ?). get to the end at episode 25 and you find out that enough material for another 25+ episodes is missing and you have most of the major plot elements still hanging out there totally unresolved. a look through wikipedia shows just how much is missing and unresolved. Like Hunter X Hunter and Claymore, this is one I think I now will have to go read the manga to be remotely satisfied on.

I hard they remade all the Evangelion stuff recently, though I can't imagine why someone would want to. Seen it?

Just started watching Highschool of the Dead via Netflix. Neat zombie outbreak story, a bit over done with the animated boob physics though. Almost done with Gurren Lagann too. The Tower of Druaga series is a great fantasy themed anime for any interested.

I've watched the first two remakes, 1.11 and 2.22. I've never seen the original NGE so I can't compare them but the remakes do look good imo.

Saw the original and part of one of the remakes. Not much difference, some key changes in plot and characters, that's about it.

Anyone check Hyouka? I just want another opinion. It seems along the lines of Haruhi. Not bad, just not for everyone.

Has anyone seen Ergo Proxy? I haven't seen much on it but it looks like a dark, scifi mystery with domed cities and androids.. Maybe like The Big-O or Ghost in the Shell?

Got curious and looked up the complete set. The 2008 set is about $215 but the not-yet-released 2012 set is $40. The only difference I can tell is the 2008 set has 2 extra discs. So... Is it worth the $40?
