How much did you pay for it is the big question? I race 1975 one lungers, granted they are heavily modded for racing. i my self would not have any problem taking it fishing, I dont know for shure what its worth but i know that when we are looking for a new race sled we look to pay about 150 to 300 dollars. It could be worth a lot more if its a rare sled.

Sweet!
Does anything in your area do a Tired Iron (vintage snowmobile) race? They have a big one up here in the early spring, and you see some really awesome stuff. FairbanksTiredIron.org Google it for more youtube videos and what not too.

Most of those older vintage sleds around here are just trashed, and need a ton of work. But I bet they are some nice rides when restored!

If you count '91 vintage then my Polaris Indy Sport is vintage :P And it was free, runs good, but my uncle rolled it

It's a total blast! I don't have a sled, classic or otherwise (apartment living sucks), but I like to go and watch. There's something to it when a guy in his 70s is in a snowmachine race on a sled older than I am!

I have pictures somewhere from a few years back. The older machines are fascinating.

Very nice! I've seen a few of those around on the trails before.

I only gave $100 for it and a new hood. I thought I came out pretty well on it

I know of a few on the Minnesota side of things, but between school and work I don't think I'll have time for one It would be awesome though!

Most of the ones I've seen are used and abused too. I was so surprised when this one fell into my lap in nearly new condition!

100 bucks is a great price for that sled.

I'm building a 75' elan this summer with a 503 and formula III track and carrage. I paid more for a hull and steering than you did for a full machine. Great haul!

Tell me why I had to be a powerslave.
I don't wanna die, I'm a god, why can't I live on?
When the Life Giver dies, all around is laid waste.
And in my last hour,
I'm a slave to the power of death.

Back in the early 80s those could be had for 100-300 bucks. These days anything that moves from that era costs a lot more than that now.

My brother and I invented the 'Superman' on one of those! haha We were fearless...ok, stupid. They sure did take a pounding. Those damn John Deers and their giant 440 engines would ruin the trails with their on-off throttles but we out rode them in the woods. You could go anywhere with 5 inches of snow.
