A series of option trades is my understanding that went south. There was a headline about "Bruce Wayne doubles down and loses"

I don't imagine they let you buy 20 billion dollars worth of stock with a username and password.

apparently they deem it fit to let you buy 20 billion dollars worth of stock NOT in person. why would they think fingerprint is good enough?

Fingerprints were good enough to turn on the extremely dangerous and untested nuclear fusion reactor prototype, weren't they?

the reactor was a machine. the stock exchange needed a full building of humans thus the mechanism for validating bruce wayne in person was already in place. it's also a 20 billion dollar trade while the reactor was just one of bruce's many assets, which also had a self destruct flooding sequence if it got to the wrong hands, which the stock exchange lacks. not to mention the reactor is hidden, the stock exchange is wide open and if it requires fingerprints then it knows there are going to be imposters, so why only finger prints for a trade on the amount of the one of the world's richest people's entire asset?

Ah, but the "mechanism" had been shot up the day before by Bane... also, wasn't that the purpose of the stock exchange hijacking? So Bane could get in there and use Wayne's prints to buy a ton of worthless stock without Wayne actually having to be there?

again. plot hole right there. one of the biggest trades and they accepted the computer data while the security was at its most vulnerable without a 2nd additional check.

I think so. I think the procedures for verifying it was him likely were not used while Bane was shooting the place up. Of course if a trade had happened during that time they probably would have noticed an issue....
