Who besides me avoids the Big Box Stores?

Unless Iam so hard up, I either buy off the net or from Mom and Pop store. I only grocery shop at the Military Commisary and on occasion I buy clothes at the PX. I also support my local paintball fields

I hate to spend money at the big stores and spend at local business unless Mom and Pop. I think I go to the local Mall maybe once every two yrs if that.

So who else does this?

Later,
Blackrain

I try and support local stores and I don't really shop at big box stores, though sometimes it's much more convenient and cheaper... San Francisco banned big box stores within its city limits until only recently when a Target opened up downtown, so it's always been much easier for me to just shop at a family owned store. Because the gas I use to get to the big box stores evens out the price in the end.

I avoid them.

The level of competence and service just chaps my booty.

Shipped price is valid to domestic buyers and will be USPS priority. International buyers are welcome, but will cover additional costs. Insurance costs are included. If you prefer an uninsured package, you the buyer will assume all risk once I ship.

I avoid them whenever possible. I don't mind paying a little more to support the little guy but at the same time I'm not going to get raped to do so.

When I encounter that kind of silliness I'll send my business to an online retailer.

i don't make distinctions between chains and small stores. if it sucks i stay away from it, and i have done so with both big and small stores before. it's a mix of factors between price, quality, and service.

Same here.

For me it is all about the service. I hate going to spend my hard earned money only to have a service clerk/cashier/waitress act like I am putting them out to do so. Walmart and Home Depot are two of the places that I find to be the worst offenders. But honestly, it seems like that mentality is becoming more and more acceptable even with the little Ma & Pa places.

I never really was a fan of the big box, I like them a little smaller and tighter.....
