I like Dakka Dakka too. They're not always the first to get news up there, but it is a pretty laid back and informal forum. DakkaDakka - Wargaming and Warhammer 40k Forums, Articles and Gallery - Homepage My screen name is "Big Tim" on there if you ever need any help. |

The only thing I don't like about dakka is no army specific sections. Since almost everyone plays space marines its cluttered with their crap

I honestly don't mind it. I got in with 4th Edition, and all the starter sets since then have been fantastic-you can find the pocket rulebooks from them on eBay for a song, or get some very well-done 500-750-point armies from the starter. I only bought the full rulebook this time because I needed it before the starter set dropped, and I don't need to start another army before I finish off my Tau and Imperial Guard. As for Codexes...I kinda wish they'd slow down on the release for those. Especially the Marine ones. Well, less slow down and more evenly distribute the releases. At leas they finally redid Dark Eldar and Grey Knights. | ||

I used to play. My brother and I have both fantasy and 40K armies (yes plural) I had/have somewhere 3700 pts of steel legion armored company with a real forge world baneblade. Then I discovered mcb and started spending all of my money on paintball. An easy way to get around the rules updates and codex re releases is to find a good group of dedicated players and just use the old formats. At least that's what we did! Pat.

CD you and I should play some time. Warning to you all though. I scan everything I can and I typically buy my figures from eBay. Game workshop is way over priced and I have chosen to cut corners whenever possible. Especially now that I have figured out how to dl torrents straight to my Samsung nexus Look down on me if you will. But I don't care I'm not paying what they charge. If I had the ability to 3d print whole models I'd do that too

I got most of my 7k point necron army from eBay for practically nothing. I've spent about $700 on it. I never buy stuff from GW. Their prices are 25% more than most other retail stores online. My friends and I play every Sunday night. I just finished my Overlords Pimp Mobile last night.
