I loved those cream filled chocolate cup cakes. It was total thrill to open up my lunchbox as a kid and find one packed in there.

Oregon's VooDoo Doughnuts... abandon all diets, ye who enter here.

Voodoo Doughnut - The Magic is in the Hole!!!

They used to have the Hangover Doughnut... a raised doughnut with strawberry icing and crushed Pepto Bismol tablets on top, but the FDA put the kabosh on that...

I still haven't been there yet, and I have lived here for 12 years. Maybe it's time I checked it out.

That place is great. It was one of the stops during a walking ghost tour of Portland. And right next to an adult movie theater

Union strikes can kill a company and start job loss. What do they really care, they still keep their jobs. Then after you get a job they come after you for back union dues

I belong to this union:

IAMAW: International association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.

What's funny about this union I belong too, we can't go on strike. It's against union rules What's even more funny, if you aren't a union member, they still have to represent you when you are in trouble

I'm going to leave the union this yr. Since I'm not getting a rasie for the next 5 yrs, I have to start cutting expensise. They are the first to go along with iother deductables.

I'm still protected under layoffs and such. If I were to get laid off, that would mean a permanent closer.

Later,
Blackrain

^^^^^^
Blackrain - we are Union brothers. IAM local lodge 709.

Sounds like you may be at an airline. If so, you can't strike because of the Railroad Labor Act. I was with IAMAW when I worked at United Airlines. We ended up enduring a 2 yr contract negotiation. Finally the government had to step in and settle it. They (Bush admin) gave us the "average" for the industry - which was cool, because it was a bit more than we were asking for.

IAMAW is not a terribly powerful union, and they tend to bend over for the company with shocking regularity.
