Oh boy not good

if my friend signed up for a matrix site and it said "this is not a payment for the item , it is a donation to our site in return for a chance to get a gift" and he sent 350 as a " dontation" does he have a chance at getting his money back if it says donation

so basically he is screwed huh ? even if he makes a dispute through paypal what are the chances of getting his money back if it says "this is a donation not a payment for an item" because he thinks thats the deciding factor in all of this.

Won't hurt to try to get his money back through paypal. Or if he did a credit card payment to try a chargeback.

Did it say donation before or after he sent the payment? If it didn't say that before, then he has a good chance of proving fraud.
