Well adele is pretty awful so there's no point debating the into tto that. I've heard the recent Craig movies are closer to the Ian Fleming booking then the original movies. I never read the books is this true? I know I like the recent movies best though

Seriously though, I loved it, but I've always liked the harder more serious edge of the early movies over the laser pen and one liners era. I can see how the reboot series might not appeal to everyone.

Anybody else feel like the old bonds are always walking places. I feel like half the movie is always him walking nonchalantly through a room. One hand in his pant pocket looking suave. I dunno gets old after a while

Just saw Skyfall last night and thought it was fantastic.
Chatting with a few other folk over the past weeks since it was released, I've found if they are a Moore/Brosnan as Bond fan that they seem to not be all that keen of Craig's installments as Bond.
But if they are Connery fans they love the Craig Bonds.
When I was a kid I loved Roger Moore as Bond. I found one of my grade 1 journals at my mom's a while back and had to laugh there was an entry that was about Moonraker.
Now 30yrs later Connery is my favorite Bond with Craig in second.
When Brosnan was on Remington Steele I thought he would make a great Bond. After 4 installments from him I wish they hadn't happened.

the first Bond movie i ever saw was golden eye... I wish they had craig do golden eye. I loved the story line, I just wish that Craig had done it. I didn't like Brosnan much. My two favorite bonds are Moore and Craig, tied for first with Connery a close second.

And the reason why people who have read the books say that this bond is the one closest to the books is because Bond is a naturally pissed off guy. The bond in the books, from my understanding, is a pissed off individual with a large chip over his shoulder. I think it had something to do with a dead wife? I think. Well, I know it was due to the death of someone big in his life (not his parents' deaths, but someone else). And he pretty much hates the world almost and is generally angry. Craig's Bond seems to show this more, especially with Quantum of Solace being him trying to get back at those who killed the girl he loved.

I personally have nothing against Brosnan... I just didn't care much for him as Bond.

i liked brosnan. he can look cool saying the lame punchlines that the script wanted him to say without seeming like a clown. with the reboot they wanted a more serious bond and i think craig fits that role better. even when he smiles he looks like he'll still kill you without a blink, like a cold blooded killer, and at first like a brute lacking refinement, which is what the plot of casino royale required because he was just starting to work for mi6 at the beginning of that movie. i think both of them fit the role their movies required.

halle barry ruined catwoman the most. i don't think it's her fault. she just get thrown into roles that makes her feel out of place. she was fine in gothika...
