007 Skyfall Fail

As a long time James Bond fan I found this installment to be the worse attempt to continue the saga. I knew it was doomed when Bond was given zero gadgets and Adele simply repeated the word Skyfall over and over again instead of actually coming up with a fantastic song like For Your Eyes Only.

Did anyone else feel the same way or did you guys enjoy the film.

I have not seen it yet but plan to hopefully next week. So far, yours is the only negative review I have heard about it.

In all honesty I thought it was much better than the previous 2 Craig films. I can't remember anything about Casio Royal other than when he gambled and defib'd himself, and I can't remember anything about Quantum of Solace.

Amazing because I love Daniel Craig as Bond, James Bond.

Remember the horrible cg Pierce Bronson windsurfing scene? Or Pierce Bronson as Bond in general? Other than goldeneye. Craig is a better bond type character in comparison. Using avenging vespar's death was alright for the plot after casino royal. Only seen pieces of skyfall so far. So I can't make a full opinion.

My friends say the same, I like gyro-copters and exploding pens. Lasers and Bald men with white cats are a plus too.

I thought it was great, yes it's different than previous Bond films but in a good way (IMO). It's absolutely gorgeous, I can't remember ever seeing a Bond movie before this and thinking anything about the cinematography other than how awful the CGI looked. YEa there's no gadgets from Q, the whole Craig series is a reboot, more realistic. Q's only introduced in this one, presumably setting up for maybe something a little more dramatic farther down the line.

No arguments on the song, probably one of the most boring title sequences in the series, really loses all the energy that the opening has.

Sam Mendes said they set out to make an Oscar worthy Bond film, and I'd say they succeded. Bardem is a great villan, balances the silliness of the earlier movies, with a nice dose of seriousness.

I enjoyed it a lot. I haven't really been a huge Bond fan but I went and saw it anyway. I thought it was a great movie. My favorite movie? No, but still pretty solid.

I enjoyed seeing it without all the gadgets. Added a sense of realism to the movie.

I thought it was great. The further Bond has gotten from gadgets, ****ty one-liners and campy villains, the happier I've been with it. This was easily the most artful Bond movie to date. It was packed with symbolism and subversion of its own franchise.
