So sad to see so many birds not in the sky, I've wanted to go there for a long time.. I would love to sit in an OV-10 someday.

yes it sad to see them not in air. but at least some parts are being put to good use. there 2 company's i can think of. where they take old planes or parts from planes and use to make furniture. others are sent of to museum or other land marks to show of planes.

I want that T bird :\... Why is that just sitting there!

ApoC_101 12-10-2012 01:18 PM

Ahhh what the hell! all those A-10s just sitting there doing nothing... I want one!!

Depending on what geeks you out, it's either pretty cool, or VERY cool. I have been on site and went through pretty much the whole area with my dad. The planes that look complete with the white paint on the windows and openings are actually/supposedly able to get in the air without a ton of work. There is a section of C-130's that you can see from the road. I hadn't driven on that part of the road in a while and the next time I went that way I saw a few rows of 130's missing. Probably got sold off to ally nations.

Maybe I'm just not sentimental anymore.. but I think that would make an AWESOME paintball field!

This needs to go in the "I'd love to play there" thread for sure.

Yeah no doubt....would not only love to get some of those birds...would love to play there....heck they let movies film there...maybe they would let a local field have a great day there :)
