A big death magnet.
Like the ball car at a driving range.

I've shot through a 3/4 inch steel plate with a M1 Garand. I was using armor pen rounds, but the standard round did a pretty good number on it as well.

The angle of the armor also plays a huge role in it's effectiveness. 1" slanted armor will stop more than 1.5" flat armor. The front might deflect the average rounds but the side armor will likely be less effective.

My understanding is they are having a rough time with snipers in general being able to just sort of smite them at their leisure. Could probably use it to ram headlong into an area and soak up all the fire until who ever is sure it's dead.

Can't say as I'd want to drive the bullet magnet but having them shoot something that's not ME would be welcome anywhere.

Roll a standard frag grenade under it and it is all over.. It didn't look like they even considered armoring the floor. Good on them for backyard engineering, but I wouldn't want to be the crew on that thing.

When I saw that this was the second of only 2, I instantly thought that it would be an eyeball magnet and that I wouldn't want to be inside it.

Well, it's not going to be any good against a tank or probably even RPG's and the like, but for most rifle fire it's better than sitting in a bare Toyota... Until you have to outrun a tank and find that you can't because your "armor" is stretching the drivetrain and suspension to its limits....
