Dorm Dwellers, lend me your thoughts

So, my Niece and Nephew are going off to college and live in a dorm. Since my dorm life was very short, then I only visited after that which meant I brought the beer, I do not know what will they need. So, I ask, what will they need and or want?

If it helps, Nephew is going to Drexel and Niece is going to Johnson and Wales.

Thanks!

a loud alarm clock

I was gonna go to drexel. Nice place.
My cousins both went to johnson and wales for culinary degrees.

Anyway, I'm a freshman right now, but I can tell you that a good microwavable bowl that is large enough to handle a full can of soup is a godsend since you can also use it for cereal, ramen noodles, etc.

mini fridge. microwave. ethernet cable. power strip. duct tape. rug.

This!

Mini fridge and Microwave are always good to have. Something to block out the sun after an all nighter.

They sell mini fridges with a small freezer and a microwave. Very popular

mine rented them out yearly. should check that before buying.

For the nephew I would recommend an insulated freezable insert for a pack back, it not only keeps the beer cold but dampens the clanking while walking around campus.

Shower slippers, towel, bedsheets, basic school supplies (pencil, pen, paper, binders), as mentioned above a loud alarm clock, or a desk lamp.

Depending on what they are allowed to have perhaps a mini fridge or or a hot plate including a basic sauce pan and utensils. I'm sure each college have a list of what is acceptable to have in their dorm rooms.

cheaper to buy. Bradley wanted $150/year.

I bought a NEW Haier 4.4cu on amazon for $139 shipped and a full size 1800watt microwave from best buy (open box, but new) for $130.

Shot glass.

stuff to do dishes with.

ramen.

brita water filter (slim)

walmart/similar gift card
