I have finally been cleared to walk on a tread mill

I haven't played since Super game 44 (Aug). I haven't been feeling well since Nov of 2012. Stenosis is what it's called.

So after several MRI and a CT Mylogram, the results are #4,5,6,7 Upper cervical disk are falling apart and bulging, but not enough for removal. Which I wanted to hear

If they were to be removed, it would have been a fuse (Not no but HELL no).

So thank you Uncle Sam for all those nice long road marches with heavy packs Also thank you for taking care of me for any future repairs I may need

VA has taken very good care of me over the yrs.

So anyway the Civilian Doc over at Swedish Hospital is now allowing me to walk on my tread mill.

I am doing a mile a day at 2.0, which isn't much, but for me it is. I can't run yet. Working my way up to a higher walking level and longer distance. I even bought me some of those ADDIDAS toe shoes. Felt good walking in them.

I have been released enough to play minor paintball. No heavy playing. Basically stay back field and long ball.

I have lost over 15 lbs in the last month by drinking large amounts of water and pissing like a race horse every 15 mins

It's working along with a decent diet.

I really just didn't care much about paintball for a while. Everytime I wanted to play,I made an excuse why I wasn't going to play. With weight loss and kind of good news I feel more motivated.

Iam going to be treated for Rumatoid Arthritis (SP). It's all thru my body, due to the many yrs of abuse in the Military. It's ok,I'll get better meds and feel like playing more often.

I have also been smoke free for over 6 months (thanks VA)

I already put in for vacation for Super Game 45.

Later,
Blackrain

I am behind on reviews. I plan to catch up on a few over the next week. I'm feeling stronger as the days go on. For some reason, when they stuck me in my spine to insert dye, I have better vision.

Here's something weird. I no longer need my glasses to see or read at far distance, only to read up close. I'm standing up straight. I just feel motivated to move now.

Sounds weird I know. I know nothing about the spine, maybe there was air or excess fluid I don't know. Someone chime in if you know anything about the spine.

stenosis is no joke - my Dad suffers from that, amongst his many medical issues. seems jumping out of planes and getting shot and blown up are bad for you in the long term

good luck with your recovery!

Each step is certainly good news. Playing PB is not only a good motivator but, I believe, a happy way that improves health.

If you can't play again, can I have your stuff?

LOL, sorry, that ^^ is a joke in reference to some old days playing UO. Couldn't resist the opportunity to break it out.

Get better quickly man, Spring is Coming.

Bored383,
Everything started during jump school. I injured myself but kept going till I graduated. When you are young you don't think anything about it.

Then you hear the words from the Doctor "No more jumping for you" . So grounded after jump school. Hey I got the Wings that's a life time of pride

Staunchy,
I'll be there. I should be playing about 90% by then. I'm trying to get things lifted from limitation

Frgood,
I'll always have pain as I have had for the last 22yrs. Paintball has been a big part of my life for 25yrs. I don't want to stop playing

Randall ace and Skull,
Thank you both. I'm just going to try and get back where I was. I have good movement now so thngs can only get better

Later,
