When i was 12 we used to make bazookas out of beer cans, duct tape and lighter fluid and we would shot off tennis balls and never see them again lol. This was 33 some odd years ago, I guess that would be frowned upon now eh.

That nelspot never needs lube, shoots 2,000 ball per second, never needs reloaded, doesn't require an air source and when the paintball hits somebody the result is the same as if Chuck Norris round house kicked them.
He nick named the gun Reggie.

The stuff I made at home and school in the 70's would no doubt leave me with a nice record today, and yet I was just considered a normal kid.

I think it's important that we teach our children in elementary school to be careful about committing crimethink; otherwise, it will be less fair to prosecute them for it in high school.

I had an awkward conversation with a teacher a few weeks ago that scared the bejesus out of her; I was just talking and somehow paintball came up, she thought I was crazy/insane. On second thought, illegal fireworks less than a mile from my school could end badly...

Sounds like you're a public hazard...hug the teacher tight and be all huggy and jolly and be glee then maybe you won't look so insane. LOL Sad when society and what is socially acceptable is turning our kids soft...

My senior year, for a few months we were averaging one bomb threat a week. It was "fun" at first because it was like "awesome! we get out of class for the day!" but then as it went on everyone was more or less irritated whenever it happened again...and I went to school at a high school that was surrounded by corn fields and farms lol.

When I was in grades 8 and 9 the middle and high schools I went to apparently had the highest number of bomb threats of any public building in Canada. They were all jokes, a way to get out of school for the day, and the first few in the year weren't bad. Then they continued to make the calls into the winter. Took me nearly a decade to stop being sure I always had my jacket with me during the winter.

Had a few weeks with barely a full day of classes. Luckily most of the ones calling them in were idiots, a few tried using the pay phones right in front of the main office. Sad really, seeing as the main office was fronted by full length glass windows so everyone working was watching the phones.

A few years later they upgraded the RCMP detachment in town and moved it to a new larger building. Conveniently the new station was built beside the high school, apparently for completely unrelated reasons...
