Attentive refs, running water, bacon, pizza, lockers, lots of tables...

What do you guys feel about the social aspect? Websites, facebook, spreading the word about games, talking to the general public, etc.

Either a serviceable website or Facebook. Most fields around here have a Facebook page. That's probably more effective for advertising to be honest.

A huge turnoff for me is seeing people walking around the parking lot with their guns all ready to go, and no barrel bag/plug. I've been accidentally shot in the leg by a kid 10 feet away while sitting by my truck. My main go-to field (APG) is VERY strict about this and you'll get yelled at if you don't follow the safety rules.

Less obscenely large amounts of space between bunkers. I don't like playing on a small, CQB field, while getting shot at by 2+ people, and the bunkers to my left and right are both 10+ steps away. Makes it hard to move around.

Hookers and blackjack

Really i like refs that are into safety and will sit people for not following the rules. Also putting the right number of players on a field, recently a field tried a 20 on 20 on a field set up for 10 on 10. It was awful

Pretty girls in camo, Lots of tables, refs that pay attention and are fair, I had someone shot me from out of bounds and the ref called us both out :S I'm like "He shot me out of bounds" And the ref said "Yeah but he hit you" One of my most what the moments.

That nelspot never needs lube, shoots 2,000 ball per second, never needs reloaded, doesn't require an air source and when the paintball hits somebody the result is the same as if Chuck Norris round house kicked them.
He nick named the gun Reggie.

seriously- I agree with the fast turn arounds. it sucks spending 6 hours of your day and a bunch of money there to play 4 games

A professional, clean web site, facebook page and twitter account are de facto standards. The website needs to be accurate, simple and portable.....it needs to work on all classes of terminals and browsers.

Public contact can be maximized with mail drops, flyer insets in local papers, open-house days (advertised for months in advance). Be sure to get content on the electronic version of the local papers too; its often free.

I check the sites of local fields often, but having them on Facebook reminds me of an upcoming event or some bigger game that's scheduled. It's also a way to collaborate with other local players.
