any-battery flashlight

i've seen a few threads about bug-out bags. i think this will be a good addition.

i find that even if you store batteries for emergencies, they expire and run out of juice a lot quicker and there's always time when you need it before you buy new ones. this will help with scavaging batteries from tv remotes and stuff.

Easy-Going Emergency Flashlight Accepts Whatever Batteries You've Got

it's got a rotary switch so you can choose which battery to use too.

i actually prefer squeeze types for batteryless flashlights. i just don't like having to fumble with folding levers and pinching it with fingers and thumbs and all that small precise motion during an emergency. SE Dynamo 3 LED Flashlight - Amazon.com

I have one of those. About the third time I used it it stopped storing energy. Now the light only works as long as you keep winding, when you stop the light goes out.

Its not too hard to make smaller batteries fit into large battery uses. You can wrap a standard sheet of paper around a AA to make it a C(same length). If you want to bump up to a D, you just need a stack of 6 quarters.
