I just bought one of these from a guy for $50, but it didn't come with any keys. Is there any way to get a replacement lock, or have keys made for this one? I don't really wanna put a hasp and padlock on it, because that makes it look horrible. Any help is appreciated.

Amazon.com: Knaack 664 Weather Guard All-Purpose Aluminum Chest: Home Improvement

Thanks!

I'd imagine you can find a replacement lock for it pretty easily.

Most truck outfitters that sell weather guard box's can get you a set of replacement locks. On my trucks that had anykind of tool box the locks where left unlocked, employee's kept losing the keys for them, locking the keys inside them, or just ripping off the doors period.

Edit: http://www.google.com/search?source=...lacement+locks

Can probably get replacements through McMaster Carr or Grainger too.

Actually, if there are numbers on the locks (usually stamped into the face) a locksmith may be able to make keys for you. I bought a used cap with no keys and went to a locksmith. He just asked me to prove I owned the truck (license and registration.)

The button type Weatherguard locks I don't think will work on mine, since I have to twist the T handle to the right to get it open. I found exactly what I need, but I know nothing about the site. I'm always a bit skeptical about buying from a site I've never heard of. Anybody know anything about these guys?

You may not need that specific lock. You just need to match the housing size and wether or not it will latch. I have replaced key locks with the resettable combination lock in the middle of this page:McMaster-Carr
You can also see on the left you need to know the Max door thickness, latching distance and mounting hole diameter.

Just remove the lock cylinder, and take it to a reputable locksmith. They should be able to cut you a key. If you don't want the original keys (that you don't have) to work, ask them if they can re-arrange the tumblers.
