Yeah im surprised how few 'warm' responses we got on this thread... was expecting more'10 C' responses because I've seen the sweater vs shorts thing a lot when I travelled to the States. My girlfriend went to Greece a few years ago it was humid and 33C but it was'winter' so they were all in turtlenecks and stuff over there!

I think the coldest I remember is -19F when I was skiing in Northern Michigan once. That was without windchill. Used to live in Florida, and seem to remember it hitting 112 once. Could be mistaken though.

In college, I went to class at -8* F (not sure what the windchill was). Just had taken a shower and my hair instantly froze on the way. Maybe why I am balding now

Played paintball one on one with my twin at 15* F. We had one good shot each and then started shooting soup. Didn't last more than about 10min before we gave up.

-55 C before windchill in Northern Alberta. I don't remember what the windchill was that night.

Happened to be the night we decided to have a "Welcome To Winter" BBQ. The food was burning on the bottom and freezing on the top.

Mine is -35C, in army tent with a fireplace, it still gets petty cold though, especially if someone sleeps on the watch.

We´re going on 3 day ski hike with a similar tent in two weeks, I´m kinda hoping the weather to be -10C or around that.
I've gone winter camping down to about -25C plus windchill. Typically sleeping in a brush shelter or a Quincy (think igloo except made of a pile of snow instead of blocks). Its not bad if you have a good sleeping bag, and keep dry.

About 11 degrees in Kentucky, one of the coldest winters I've been through. It didn't stop snowing and we still kept on laying down that salt for the walking paths. LOL

The coldest I can recall was -39F (coincidentally about -39C) one night when I got into my car. Don't remember if there was any wind or not. The next few days here are going to be bitter cold, might put my record to the test.
