I am so anti-MilSim it would make your teeth hurt. But I'm open minded enough to know my opinion is not for everyone. I feel those who debate the issue of realism in Paintball are taking it too seriously.

you guys know surplus clothings can sometimes come with patches... what would be the easiest thing for the buyer? leave the patches on and wear it only at places like the paintball field, where people already know they are most likely just surplus and won't take the patches seriously? or do you want them to take off the patches not knowing what to do with them so that they are eventually lost in the middle of nowhere? it's only a problem if they wear it in the streets.

Nametapes are cool. Patches with country flags, team logos, or company logos (such as a Tippmann A5 patch) are cool as well. It's when you put a trident on your collar, a Ranger tape on your shirt pocket, and a screaming eagle on one shoulder that I get a little annoyed.

My personal policy in my milsim days was it was ok to wear surplus gear with my own team's patches on it, but not rank or real life unit insignia. In my mind, those are earned and it is disrespectful to wear them for play. Name tapes are fine as well.

Heck I wear my combat patch, I'm damn proud of it. I personally don't mind folks wearing these patches but if I see you wiping and wearing my patch I might just rip it off your shoulder. [IMG] [/IMG]

I wear name tapes and team logos... no real insignia for me. Personally though, I feel that as long as you aren't being fraudulent, it's ok. If you do wear any real insignia though, whether it be existing stuff that came on surplus bdu clothing or whatever, be prepared for people to ask about it and be clear with your answers. If you want some cool patches that won't offend anyone (at least not in the way that we are talking about here), check out: - Patches - MIL-SPEC MONKEY STORE |

| All nail Drum! | ignore them, have fun. People bug me for wearing camo... just have fun man... if they are really bugging you, ensure you play against them and tag em between the eyes.
