Toe shoes

I know that POE uses these, except he wears the Vibram style.

I picked these Adidas up at the PX for about $15 dollars on a 75% off sale.
Anyone else besides me use toe shoes for work out? Normally, well actually 99.9% of the time, I don't believe hype. In this case I do. I feel more comfortable walking on the tread mill in toe shoes then in my regular ASIC shoes.
To me it's a mo...re natural walk and better feel. I bought these Adidas on sale at the PX a few months back. I will be upgradeding to Vibrams later this month.
Vibrams have a much better front of toe coveragae.

Good choice I back up vibram in quality. They're beasts of footwear. Cleaning? Throw it in the washing machine. So easy to take care of. I use mine around the house and at the gym too. Same pair I've had for the last two years. Looking for another I love em so much.

I can't speak for the other brands, but they can't be that much different I'm sure other than price point and options.

And if you prefer not having toes, these guys are just as thin and I can vouch for Inov8s quality: Inov-8 Footwear BareX 200

My Vibrams are solid though. The rubber is top-notch: I run on concrete and I've barely worn the forefoot where I land exclusively.

Yeah, you know that I wear them. They are just so comfortable, and I have found that my sense of balance has increased. Plus they are so light in weight, it just can't be helped. Forget the lighter marker, lighter shoes tend to help one move quicker on the field.

I went to pick up a pair of Vibrams and the guy at the store said I should ask my doctor if they would be bad for my knees due to the lack of a sole.

Vivio makes some nice barefoot dress shoes. I wear them at work.

I can't do the toeshoe thing. But I'm digging the "minimalist shoes" more and more.

The entire point of Vibrams is so that you correct your running style. You should not have heel strikes which is what kills your knees. You should be landing on the ball of your feet.

And Yes I love my Vibrams. Specially when I use to fly every week. They would pack every nicely in my carry-on.

This. I'm flat footed. It's darn comfortable to have your body move naturally. Arches in shoes don't hurt my feet anymore. Still flat footed though...

On that note those people you see walking barefoot around town have the right idea, but I don't like my feet touching the yuck on the ground.
