Visiting Australia...Paintball info?

This is for any members that are in Australia. I'm heading down to Melbourne for a 2 month visit with a friend down there and wanted to know what the paintball scene was like down there.

Also am I correct that paintball markers are a bit more regulated down there? Would I be able to bring my Phantom with me? (I'm kind of guessing it's a bad idea).

I may just bring my mask with me just in case. I wouldn't mind getting at least one game day in down there if I can.

Looking forward to any info I can get. I fly out in 2 weeks :)

The Macdev guys are done there somewhere too. We have a few members from Aus/NZ, but there names escape me.

just be careful with their gun laws there. Idk what the current view on paintball guns is.

Exactly what I'm worried about.

I'll check out those guys and PM them. Thanks.

not sure where i saw this but think better just bring mask since they have tough laws on paintguns. saw some where or heard somewhere where field only for the guns since guns laws are tough.

Simply put, do not bring your phantom, pretty much you will never see it again.
Rental/borrow is pretty much the best option.

Relevent laws for Melbourne. (Victoria)

I'm sure somebody from down that way will chime in to advise where to go to play though.

Thanks Weasel, thats pretty much what I was concerned about. I'll just bring my soft gear and go from there.

Phantom or any gun parts.

even air tanks have a few hoops to jump through.
