How bad was the fire extension when you got there? It looks pretty bad in the pictures you put up.
It was bad. At 1st we thought A-D on sides, ended up being roughly 9 different sides to this home.

And scary as ****, on what was side D where I was fighting, I saw a regulator in the wall near a dryer vent. We're out in the sticks & don't have nat gas, but that was gas line.

They had a buried propane tank and the on/off valve was hidden in the woods in a garbage can. Scary when you just don't know that the little pipe next to you, could end up killing you.

1st photo below was side D that I was fighting, nothing is left now.

And the floor and hardwood was extremely tough to cut since our chainsaw busted. Again all Vol dept with little to 0 funding, so the antique tools we have are the tools we have.

That floor sucked hacking away to get our nozzle in to just get some water on that.

i fought one that had 2 oxy/acet sets in the basement. blew out the floor as we were pushing down a hallway. the guy on the knob in front of me started falling into the hole, i grabbed ahold of him and held him up as the flames were rolling over our head and he kept working it. my front leg went through the floor and the guy behind me grabbed my pack and held me back from falling in. sounded the horns after that one.

havent you been in part of the department for a bunch of years?

A friend of a friend of mine was telling us about his most cliche firefighter day last summer. Apparently he petted a Dalmatian then rescued 2 kittens from trees.

Good work. Gainman, I could be wrong, but I believe he was an EMT.

With 17 years of FF/EMT service, I will never forget my first IA! It kind of sticks with you like your first code call! Good work, and stay safe!

Thank you for your service!

I don't have a paid full time fire co. in my area but I make sure to donate to our volunteer co. every year. With all that you guys put on the line the least we can do is give a little to make sure you have up to date equipment.

I've been a Vol in RI for 3 years now. We don't get many calls out here. I was an EMT in FL and ran on the bandaid box for 3ish years before moving.

Couple shots of me

That was the "D" side of what was left of it.

That nelspot never needs lube, shoots 2,000 ball per second, never needs reloaded, doesn't require an air source and when the paintball hits somebody the result is the same as if Chuck Norris round house kicked them.
He nick named the gun Reggie.
