Just trying to show that I am experienced in speed and power, not just a couch quarterback with an opinion. I know that camaros won't be comparable but I do know what a car designed for the street and comfort should be able to pull off. And I just expected more from that heritage and a huge v8. Granted the one I rented was a convertible, but still.

Nice looking ride! :=)

@gainman....just curious what motor the rental had...many around here have the 6cyl for insurance reasons....

....as for me, I'll still with my big block 70 Vette...may not have the conveniences of the modern cars....but it's got a personality all its own LOL

Gain- I appreciate your comments there in #21. It is quite common to see people come on and down things they have no idea what they are talking about.

I would point out that many of the rental companies have (purportedly) put governors (limiters) on their cars for insurance and safety reasons. There is quite a bit of discussion about it online, but I haven't come across anything "official" from one of the rental places stating that they actually do it.

Most of these didn't make it out of the 70's. They ended up wrapped around Mark Hammil's face.

Personally I see the Mustang as a better car all around. Lighter, more visibility, better handling (might be debatable, but you can also get a Roush with a live rear axle), better MPG, better interior by a mile. The Camaro is just too big, heavy, blind, and dated in my opinion. Personally, I would have maybe tried to find a low milage GTO if you wanted GM.

Def don't see many on the road anymore...but then, compared to today's auto, they are lacking so much...

...course, I love the simpler things in life so that suits me just fine....but I do appreciate the technological advances that the newer cars like the Camaros, Vettes, etc...

...enjoy your new ride! :=)
