Yet another cell phone thread...

So after several years my Samsung Wave kicked the bucket, tough phone.

What's the toughest phone out there these days?

I don't care about gadgets and widgets, I never use the crap. As long as it's capable of going online and checking the weather forecast and taking a beating it's good enough for me.

Iphones in otter boxes aint good enough.

Samsung Galaxy Rugby?

Though I don't know how much of it is marketing and how much is actual robustness.

Casio G'zOne commando. Verizon only, only 3g. But it takes a serious beating. milspec to the highest degree. Its completely waterproof, shockproof, salt-fog proof whatever that means...
Mines been under water, dropped on concrete, hell I wash it in the sink and listen to internet radio in the shower. Its a year and a half old and still ticking. You will not find a tougher phone.

Nokia 920's in otterboxes are pretty damn indestructible. Even without the otterbox they are pretty unbreakable.

I can vouch for this, the gf has one and it's dropped several times a day and has already fallen into the toilet fully submerged once.

It's not sold as a "rugged" phone but it's stronger then some of the phones rated as "rugged".

Windows Phone 8 has an amazingly clean UI that's fast and simple.

I'd say any of the G'zOne line. It's like G-shock for phones.

Yep, if you're on Verizon get one of the Casio G-Series phones. Nearly indestructible but they are pricey.

Motorola Tundra. I've had mine for three years. Built in rubber, it will do internet stuff if you want, and I have hurled it against my windshield, concrete and other things with no damage. This is one of the phones tested for military use by having a truck run over it. It still works. It has heavy rubber built into the casing. Mine outlasted two batteries.

True, I had a boulder before the commando, which is why I spent the hundred on the commando. My buddy has a brigade and that's a beast a well. But the commando is the only smart phone, I believe.

Kyocera Torque if you are on Sprint.

Welp, bought a Samsung Rugby. Should do the trick.
