The thing with it on cars is that if it is damaged you can just peel it off the panel and redo it or just spray touch up on it, it self levels pretty well. I have used the spray and dip quite a bit. I wouldn't want to use it on a grip surface, your hand sweat would likely not mix well with it and it would probably get sticky and gross.

LOL. Plastidip was originally meant for making rubber grips for tools.

thats what I thought too! they have the big can that you can did your tools in...its a yellow color or black. mine came in a spray. doesnt have a nice grippy texture to it...

What is the value? i.e. why do it

I'm not familiar with the product but I'm assuming it would be good inside and/or outside of a hopper?

well in this case its strictly for looks. I just like the grey bottoms...but it does have a grippy texture so I'm wondering if it's good for grip frames, and it it films up and can be peeled off then we can change colors and ads a layer of protection. The use this product for wheels on cars.so I assume its sturdy.

Cool - wonder would it cut down rattling inside hoppers and if it will the mask harder to clean.

another application is for your tank. grippy and protective, and light. peels off when you need another coating.
