Les's place is pretty nice. The property is anyway. Everything seems pretty comfortable the couple times I have been out there. Not too far from town either.

Hell even if you live closer to town/in town, being off the grid and self sufficient is never a bad idea if you ask me. And yes, places like in North Ontario can be had for cheap if you go far enough. I swear more and more people will be moving up there in the next few decades.

Alaska would probably be pretty fun too.

Just make sure you have enough to do wherever you go if you are going to live a life of solitude for a few months. If you are alone and have nothing to do, you'll have just that much more time to think...
