At the University that I went to, yes to all of the above if it happens on campus. And not just unprotected, no sex allowed in general.

Quite different from my college experience. Granted, it was some time ago, but you could smoke on campus, alcohol was served in the student activities center and I lost my virginity in a college dorm room. College sounds a lot less fun now.

Interesting. Thanks for posting OPBN. I didn't know about it until I read the article but my sister is the clinical psychologist quoted in the article.

BMI is an artifact of a bygone era.

My gym-mates have a similar problem: they can deadlift twice their body weight and do burpees until the cows come home but BMI would define them as "obese."

Sending you a PM on the offhand chance that we share an alma mater, although in my day smoking just got you reprimanded...

This was pointed out in my HS health class years ago. The teacher was the asst football coach and the running back was in my class. 5'9" and ~205lbs. The teacher asked if anyone thought if he was obese and of course we all thought that was silly. He then showed how he was according to the BMI.

It also says that at 5'6" I am overweight at 180. I agree. But, when I was at 164 and trying to get to 160, I would still be overweight. Really? Not that any of you have seen my thighs, but if I did squats like I could, I'd have the speed skater issue. Couldn't find pants to fit my legs that would stay around my waist.

I would have thought that an Ivy league school would be knowledgeable on things like informed consent. Its too bad they did not have members on staff who routinely make up things like institutional review boards to ask about ethical issues or something...

/oh wait.

Look up the term "skinny fat". Ironically some of the people who pass outdated BMI height / weight charts have been found to be fairly unhealthy.
