I really liked the pilot. They did a good job capturing the feel of the early 80s computer scene. In 1983, I was rocking my TI 99/4a computer with -tape- drive.

Its a bit dumbed down as you would expect. Its based on a semi true story of the early pc clones, which simple used a custom bios to work around ibm

However, I dont yet understand WHY "joe" is trying to make a clone? Its not his company, so how eoes be expect to get rich from it?

The second ep was ok, but I think the show has some really good potential.

Joe is also an egomaniac, so money might not be his end game. But I'm sure if he made the firm millions, he would be rewarded.

The 2nd episode seemed to imply that something is seriously wrong with Joe? Obviously making it vague at this point because it will become a serious plot point in the future. They keep dropping so many hints.....

But I still don't get the motivation at this point. On a side note, Kerry Bishe is seriously hot. What is she doing with a computer nerd? She works for Texas Instraments, so probobly a nerd herself... well, thats not believable!

I think it was pretty clear in ep1 that Joe had issues when he took the baseball bat out, and again when he yelled at Gordon. And probably again when he blew it with Cameron with the no job comment.

I think Joe is ultimately out for revenge against IBM...There is some story going on there that they keep dancing around but never quite revealing the whole truth.

So far though I am enjoying it...I remember those days....every store seemed to have their own clone once the market bust open. I can remember my first clone...paid $1000 for it, amber screen, 10MB HDD old boat anchor style, 5.25" floppy and 640K of RAM. Man I was rocking the neighborhood with that one.
