The return of Battlebots!

For those that missed it on Sunday, it's on Hulu (and probably elsewhere)...
Watch BattleBots Online - Streaming at Hulu

Some new bots, some returning classics, they get to use flamethrowers now.

I am excite!

Great choice for a summer series, too. Fun to watch and it won't be a big deal if you miss an episode.

I was quite shocked to see Warhead beaten so badly. Poor old vet shouldnt have been brought back.

I hope we see another Ziggo come around though. Watching that little can opener shred folks was the best.

I called that Wrecks was junk the second it fired up.

"Seriously? Did you even test this? Are you seven?"

There were several very poorly designed robots. It's almost as if the show is rigged; that's a very depressing thought.

Does anyone know the rules on scoring or weight limits? The show didn't explain anything.

I think for the sake of ratings, they're kind of leaving some of the nitty-gritty out. Haven't seen any obvious rigging yet, just a lack of the more bureaucratic stuff and a few bots obviously designed to grab attention more than points.

I remember going to a battle (99 world championship) when I was younger. My moms friends were some of the contenders.

Looking it up on youtube it was Bio Hazard.

Wish I had hulu plus to check out this new series. Guess I'll relive the old memories and watch the WC on YT.

Whyachi verses Nightmare!
I was entertained.

Its pretty much the exact same format as the original Battlebots, with minor changes. I HOPE they avoid all the crappy robots that plagued the original series.

On the original series, the early bots were given "TV contracts", which meant they were allowed to skip all the prelimes, and guarenteed at least 1 TV episode... largely because of the TOY deal. Those crappy bots tended to make good toys.
