His influence is undeniable.
His last few movies were terrible though. I had the impression he was coasting a bit.

Dawn of the dead was one of my favorites as a kid. I was a mallrat, so it left an impression. Odd how nobody goes to the mall anymore

I was just saying last night that Dawn of the Dead was the best zombie movie ever. While George Romero created the genre with Night of the living Dead, Dawn of the Dead is really what I feel like every modern Zombie movie descended from.

I really miss the late 70's early 80's practical effects blood and gore.

We just went to the cemetery it was filmed and and the small "museum" they have set up in town. Very cool quick visit.
