Calling all Freemasons.

Just wondering how many brothers are here on MCB. Where you from, what brought you to Freemasonry and how has it impacted your life?

I'm from Harmony lodge 592 in Central Texas. I followed my father and his father before him in the spring of 2008. It's really helped me grow into a man, a good citizen and a good father for my kids.

To anyone curious or have any general questions, feel free to ask.

P.S we don't secretly run the world, I still have trouble paying my bills month to month sometimes lol.

I became a Freemason in 2012. I'm from Durand Lodge 179 in central NJ.
I followed my dad and grandfather into Freemasonry.

I was approached at my Grandfathers funeral, this was a long time ago, he was a Shriner as well, my Grandmother was a member of the Royal Purple?!? or whatever the Wives group was - she told me some crazy stories after he was gone, I have his Bible...

I should really look into it further - just haven't found the time (an excuse)

i did it in 3 months...
IIRC, basically the minimum time allowed but there was lots of effort and hard work.

My dad raised me. Great day for him and me as well....

Mariner's Lodge #150, Barnegat NJ. I had the great honor of being raised by the Masonic Kilties of NJ in 2010. I followed my Grandfather and a Great Uncle on my Mother's side and several Great Uncles on my Father's side into the Craft.Unfortunately only one was (and still is) living at the time, but was unable to attend. I really enjoy the comradery, history, ritual and esotericism; but unfortunately I don't get to attend lodge much lately due to family obligations. I hope to have more time when my kids are older.

I was told by a Brother "We'll get to ruling the world right after we fix the leaks in the roof."

My father is worshipful master of his local lodge, very loud and proud of his masonic affiliation. That is the extent of my knowledge on it though.

I've always been interested. My old barber was going to sponsor me into his lodge, but then we moved back to FL and no longer have contact with any Masons that I'm aware of.

Most of the Masons I know are from the Army and they're scattered all over the globe.
