Just a heads up for everyone. If you're waiting for something from me, I'm doing what I can, and got most of everything out today.

Most of you have known that my Mother-in-Law has been sick with Pulmonary Fibrosis (a scarring of the lung tissue). Well, she's in the hospital now and on basically life support. After hemming and hawing, they're going to decide to morrow what to "officially" do.

Didn't get home to 4 AM. last night... Work today... and got to bring the kid to Dance class tonight.

I'm fine, but it's the Mrs. aka Cat, that's having the hard time obviously. While the nurses are far too optimistic, the doctor (who's a straight shooter) is basically saying that there's no coming back.

So this is just an update on what's going on.

Any well wishers, please direct it to my wife, and not at me. She's the one that will need all the support in this. There's plenty more issues that keep this overly complicated it seems, but a discussion for private meetings, and not here.

I'll post more as I learn it. I'm going to head back down to the Hospital tomorrow, where everyone is... Some decisions are going to be made tonight on what to do tomorrow.

She's not "dead" yet, but on machines... And her living will states, no machines. It's a fine line right now. She has Pneumonia, sceptic something... and obviously the lung issue. Sort of a TKO. They're letting the antibiotics go to work for the pneumonia... so the machines are there for now, and we're waiting to hear the prognosis...

As I said... decisions are to be made depending on what comes back soon.

That is very difficult for the family. I'm so sorry to hear it!
Do what you need for Cat and the fam- (like I even need to bother to say that...). We'll survive on the 'net for quite some time as your life needs your attention more.

Sorry to here of the news it is difficult there are no words to console or comfort that can help. Remind Cat that Maddie is a bright spot in her life, it is something to take comfort in knowing she is her child.

I was in the same situation in December. Took my uncle to the hospital with stomach pain early December. I thought it was just his ulcer. The issue was Sepsis. He had waited two days before he said anything. Too late, he crashed two hours after arriving. My mom left the decision to me. Thankfully she raised me pretty well. I looked at the situation thus: I would not want to be on a ventilator with slim odds. I believe I made the best choice.

The update is that Cathleen's mother passed away yesterday. I never knew there was so much to do after someone died. She and I were writing the obituary last night, and then she needs to go to the funeral home today with her father to get everything ready there, etc.

I keep telling my wife that the good thing out of all of this is, that her mother knew it was coming, and got everything she wanted to do, done. Sure, you always want more... But I know she left us happy at what she accomplished.

Anyhow... Thanks for sending the Mrs. messages, and the like. It was really appreciated by her.
