Well... you're SUPPOSED to clean out the lint from it for every load. But this is about the greasy buildup that forms from the dryer sheets and blocks the mesh.

I always check stuff like this one snopes.com... first time I've found one that is true!!! Urban Legends Reference Pages: Clean Lint Filter Extends Life of Dryer Guess I need to check the lint trap (always de-lint it, never clean it with soap and water). |

| Lost the Daylight |
Ok, since I moved in the dryer here has been VERY slow to dry laundry. A normal sized load was taking well over an hour. I always clean the lint out of the lint filter too. I figured it was just a really crappy dryer. Well, today was laundry day. I decided what the heck. I took the filter out and washed it. It didn't seem too bad. However, looks must have been deceiving. My laundry dried faster than it ever has in this dryer! So, now MCB is fixing my dreaded laundry tasks! Sweet!
