I was on PB city for a while it was me and mstrtal we had double the posts of anyone else i think from playin that movie line game. and like i said its really not an issuee but as Black rain said it is a sign of how involved you are in the site and if you are trustworthy even though most everyone on this site knows me for my palmer whoring and fettish for dual bottle guns there are a ton of new members. But i guess the new site makes for equal opportunitry posting everyone has to start from scratch and reinvolve themselves with the site. Anywho like I said I was bored and needed to create a new subject to discuss

I'm on another forum where there's this one guy with over 40 posts a day, but all his posts are worthless. It's obvious he doesn't read past the title so his answers are simplistic, have already been answered, and it's just an jarring interjection in the middle of a flowing discussion. I always look at join date as well as post count. If someone has a very high post count a lot of times it means they just don't take the time to read the whole thread or think things through. I have a lot more respect for the "old timers" on boards who add a lot of real knowledge to the community, with a few key posts.

I am not saying more is better but I was a member for around 3 years on mcb and averaged 1.2 posts a day so I was by no means a post whor and prolly half of those posts were in the fs sectionI just like big numbers and miss mine.

Theres been a few threads on the pros/cons of the current post count situation. In the end water will flow in the path of least resistance. Hense post counts were not updated. Big deal.....granted it was neat to see that big number and all them stars by my name :P

I could use a post count boost (+1). <- I like this guy hereI agree with Jaan on post count but also use it like blackrain. I dwell in grey areas. I guess post count is like drinking. alittle doesn't do much and barely anyone notices you. alot becomes meaningless and just tortures those around you. but if you get it just enough, you can have a good time and get to know some people. 4 types of posts in 1. three useless and one trying to help. |
